Apple has introduced a number of new apps to its Apple TV set-top box today, including VEVO, Disney (and Disney XD), The Weather Channel and the Smithsonian Channel.
The new VEVO app will include over 75,000 HD music videos, as well as exclusive original programming and live concert performances.
The Disney and Disney XD apps provide a live stream of their pay TV channel counterparts, although users will need an applicable satellite TV subscription to access them on Apple TV. The Smithsonian Channel and the Weather Channel will offer on-demand clips, meanwhile.
Just a couple of months ago Apple added HBO GO, WatchESPN, Sky News, anime and Asian drama streaming service Crunchyroll and Qello to its roster.
