Although Apple’s new iPhone 4S is already on sale in U.S, Canada, Australia, the UK, France, Germany, and Japan, the Cupertino-based company had said that a wider international rollout would begin on October 28, so today the company has opened up preorders for customers in 22 more countries ahead of its official launch.

MacStories noticed the preorders go live, which Apple says will be available in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

Many of the International Apple Store’s are showing longer than expected shipment dates, stating deliveries between 1-2 weeks, with some receiving emails that they will receive their devices between November 3 – 9.

Apple’s Singapore online store shows the preorder option, with a shipping date of between 1-2 weeks:

Many stores are offering unlocked handsets, dependant on Apple’s relationship with carriers in the country. Unlike in the U.S and Japan, Apple has made the iPhone 4S available unlocked in many regions, helping users easily upgrade from their iPhone 4 handset.

The iPhone 4S will go on general sale the 22 additional countries in one week’s time. Apple will then focus on making the handset available in more than 70 countries by the end of the year.
