Apple have officially joined Twitter and claimed the @Applecare account. How is this ‘official’ you might ask? Well Joel Johnson at BoingBoing Gadgets happens to be the previous owner of the account!
Johnson would spend hours helping people on Twitter with their Apple issues, until he eventually became overwhelmed and threw in the towel.
As you need to actually pay for AppleCare, I wonder if most help will take place via DM’s or if they’ll help publicly up to a point then ask you to call a particular customer service helpline.It’s going to be very interesting to see how this works out.
