GhostSec, a group that affiliates itself with Anonymous, took to the darknet today for some lulz by removing an ISIS propaganda site and replacing it with a Prozac advertisement and the following message:

Enhance your calm. Too many people are into this ISIS-stuff. Please gaze upon this lovely ad so we can upgrade our infrastructure to give you ISIS content you all so desperately crave.

The ad points to CoinRx an online pharmacy that bills itself as “the number one bitcoin online pharmacy” and sells everything from Viagra to Xanax without asking for a prescription.

This is one of the hundreds of websites Anonymous (with some crowdsourced help) has taken down after its recent declaration of war on the Islamic State.

Website takedowns aside, the self-declared war appears to be a complete failure that has drawn criticism from multiplesources within the security community. The most cited criticism revolves around the hactivist group’s indiscriminate takedowns of sites and social media accounts that could belong to non-ISIS supporters.

A Twitter spokesperson called recently published lists outing alleged ISIS members “wildly inaccurate” and “full of academics and journalists” who were in no way affiliated with ISIS.

We don’t know what the future holds for Anonymous in its war against ISIS, but for now, let’s just sit back and laugh at the giant chill pill GhostSec handed the Middle Eastern extremist group.
