Amazon Prime subscriptions will cost just $67 on Friday

Amazon Prime subscriptions will cost just $67 on Friday

If you’ve been on the fence about subscribing to Amazon Prime, Friday is your best bet to make a choice.

The company is reducing its subscription by about a third (from $99 to $67) for one day in celebration of its awards at the 67th Primetime Emmys (get it? 67th Prime-time?).

If you haven’t been keeping up, Amazon’s original show ‘Transparent’ took home a couple of major awards; star Jeffrey Tambor won for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and creator Jill Soloway won for Outstanding Directing in a Comedy series.

If you’re not yet a Prime user, its most popular benefit is free Two-Day shipping (and reduced price one-day shipping). Membership also includes access to Amazon’s Prime Video and Music streaming services, as well as unlimited image storage via Prime Photos and the ability to ‘borrow’ one Kindle book a month.

The sale starts at 12:00 AM Eastern Time on Friday September 25, and ends at 11:59 Pacific Time, for a total of 27 hours. You can access the deal by heading over to Amazon.com/TransparentPrime.
