Amazon has updated its shopping application for Android tablets to expand geographical support from just the US to a number of European countries, namely Italy, France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The Amazon Mobile app for Android tablets allows users to browse and shop by department, search, read and add reviews, share products with friends, manage their accounts and, most importantly, make purchases from Amazon.com using a tablet-optimized UI.
The updated app also comes with some bug fixes and ‘performance enhancements’.
Important to note perhaps that the current version only supports Android tablets that are 7″ to 10″ with resolutions from 600×1024 to 1600×2560 with Android OS 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and up.
Just last week, Amazon brought its ‘regular’ Android, iOS, and Windows Phone shopping apps to Canada in English and French.
