Airbnb gets serious about business travelers with new booking tools for companies

Airbnb wants businesses to consider its services as a lodging option with a global expansion of its Business Travel program and a new tool dashboard to make booking and filing expenses much easier.

When corporations sign up for the new product suite, employees will be able to book through Airbnb and expense costs directly to their companies.

The product is made up of three primary tools:

  • An Activity Tab lets you catalog current and upcoming trips for employees, including dates, location, number of people in each party and more
  • A Reporting Tab helps you collect and manage expenses for the entire organization, as well as export financial data and reports.
  • The Employees Tab allows admins to manage which employees are allows to book business travel through Airbnb.

There’s also a promotion until September 1; Business travelers will receive a $50 Airbnb credit the first time they sign up for lodging.

The Business Traveler program first launched last year, but it was limited to a few companies and cumbersome to user. The new dashboard should help make it easier for companies and their employees to book stays and log their costs.

The feature is live now, so if you’re looking for lodging for your company’s next team-building outing, you can sign up at Airbnb.com/business.
