Aereo today added Google Chromecast support to its Android app, allowing subscribers to stream live broadcast television to their TV by just tapping the “cast” icon in the app. You can download the new version now directly from Google Play and then follow the setup instructions.

Here is the app’s full changelog:

  • Now supports Chromecast. Please note this is a beta release and kindly report any issues to [email protected] or through the feedback link in the app.
  • Numerous bug fixes and performance improvements.

Aereo was originally planning to bring Chromecast support to Android users on May 29. Apparently the feature was delayed by a week, and while it’s still in beta, still better late than never.
