Adobe has begun shipping its newest collaboration solution. Adobe Acrobat XI is the latest version of the PDF creator/reader and comes with Cloud service that enables any user to “handle the most complex document challenges”.
With features like being able to edit PDF files, export them to Microsoft PowerPoint, touch-friendly capabilities on tablets, and being able to work with Windows 7 and 8, Acrobat XI is Adobe’s latest effort to catch up with the growing trend to move their service to the cloud and also to be useful for other devices like tablet and mobile phones.
According to Adobe, Acrobat XI will let you update text directly in PDFs, automatically wrap paragraph text, search and replace words in a PDF file, and crop, adjust, or replace images, with the Edit Text and Images tool capability. All of these new services will surely help Acrobat users save an enormous amount of time since they won’t have to go back to the source file to make changes.
The new Acrobat XI is now enabled for use on tablet devices, a trend that has been rapidly emerging with Adobe slow to adopt. Adobe says that PDF files with dynamic media content, shared review, and electronic signature workflows, can be worked on from practically anywhere. The companion software, Acrobat Reader XI, is available for the following mobile operating systems: iOS, Android, and Windows 8.

IT personnel will find additional value with Acrobat XI. Adobe says that it’s a “centrally-managed, touch-friendly, virtual application with improved support for Citrix.”
Acrobat XI is now available for people to use. You can download a free 30-day trial for Windows or Mac and if you want to upgrade to the full program, pricing stats at $199.
