If you’ve ever worked with Arabic in Flash, you know exactly how horrible of an experience that was. You either had to create outlined versions using a Middle East (ME) edition of Adobe Illustrator or some mojo Arabic Genie or, if you’re geeky enough, some ActionScript based text layout framework.
Tell me this does not look sexy! Try copying.. deleting.. it all works!
Forget about what Apple thinks.. HTML5 is not going to fix the Arabic issues that exist with HTML. And it certainly won’t take over Flash anytime soon. And now that there’s proper Arabic support, I say, take that Apple!
