Snapchat users in the US are in for a treat today. The company has partnered with Apple’s Beats to create a special Lens feature for Black Friday.
To see what it is, just take a selfie and tap on your face for a second to turn the feature on. You’ll be presented with a series of lights and borders, as well as being serenaded by Drake’s ‘Big Rings.’
Only available in the US for a 24-hour period, it’s a short one but a positive sign for Snapchat as the value of advertising on its platform has been questioned recently, given the lack of insights available.
It’s also the first time Snapchat has had a consumer product brand sponsor a Lens. Lenses were introduced to Snapchat in September and appear to have been well-received, especially if the company is leveraging them as a way to attract more big advertisers.
