A $5,000 tour of Googleplex hits the auction block

A $5,000 tour of Googleplex hits the auction block

You can divide the world into 3 groups. Those who’ve worked for Google. Those who want to work for Google. And people with hotmail accounts.

Why would you want to work for Google? Let’s see. Not only do you get free food, awesome benefits and napping rooms, but you work for the most powerful tech company in the world. The Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California (the most tech savvy city in the U.S.) are what employee dreams are made of: four gyms, space-ship replicas, decked-out game lounges, volleyball courts, an organic garden, on-site massage therapists and puppies…lots of puppies! The Google HQ even made snow for its employees this past holiday season.

Now, one winning bidder and three guests can win a VIP tour of the “Googleplex” in Mountain View, California at the charity auction site CharityBuzz. During the tour, you’ll eat at Google’s Cafeteria, famous for random celebrity chefs stopping by and unbeatable gourmet food options.

The experience was donated by a charitable Google-ite with inside access and a big heart to raise funds for Morristown Neighborhood House, a settlement house founded in 1898 that helps immigrants and economically-challenged families by providing needed services. The organization, which serves more than 1,500 children, youth and adults, is in desperate need of funding to keep its doors open and provide access to things like computer labs, career centers, scholarships, mentoring and tutoring. Bidding on the experience, valued at $5,000, is open through February 16.
