When I first heard about the Hyperloop three years ago, I laughed. Sure, the physics checked out and the vision was brilliant – but Musk was talking about disrupting one of the slowest developing transport infrastructures in history.
“Great idea Elon,” I thought. “I’ll be sure to book tickets for its maiden voyage in 2085.”
How wrong I was.
Three years later, MIT is rolling out award-winning prototype designs, more than $200 million has been devoted to funding, and Dirk Ahlborn, CEO of Hyperloop TT, has already initiated plans to connect Bratislava, Vienna and Budapest using the technology.
Now Ahlborn is coming to TNW Conference to tell us how he plans to do it. More than this, he’ll share how he’s helped take the project from ‘farcical moonshot of the future’ to ‘commercially viable in 10 years.’
We can’t wait to see him along with many other forward-thinking speakers at TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.
Please note:
Due to an unforeseen rush in ticket sales, we’ve had to move our next price rise forward. Ticket prices will now increase on Wednesday 16th March at 1800 CET.
