Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, has just announced at a live event that 450,000 iPads have been sold through today.

300,000 were sold the first day, and there are 3500 iPad specific apps (out of 185,000 total) available. Jobs says that Best Buy is sold out and that they are making the tablets as fast as they can (our local Apple Store here in Southern California had all models in stock yesterday).

Apple has also sold 50 million iPhones and 35 million iPod Touches to date.
