150,000 men use UrbanDaddy’s Next Move app to entertain their mistresses

150,000 men use UrbanDaddy’s Next Move app to entertain their mistresses

UrbanDaddy, along with competitors Thrillist and Flavorpill is one of New York City’s premiere cultural voices, offering up “digital content and experiences for in-the-know urbanites”.

Today, UrbanDaddy announced the newest version of its app, The Next Move for iPhone. The latest iPhone app uses GPS to let users find the perfect nearby spot to go for food, drink or a little late night debauchery. Members are offered a selection of exclusive hook-ups, offers and opportunities at new bars and restaurants in several cities including New York , Boston, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, Miami and Atlanta. Think of it as a digital concierge in your pocket.

The app works by selecting your current situation–whether you’re going out to dinner with your family, taking your ex out for drinks, or having lunch with your boss and then delivering you relevant content based on your GPS location. UrbanDaddy says an Android version will be available by the end of year.

New features include:

Content:
– Updated food and nightlife picks from UrbanDaddy’s city editors
– New style selections from UrbanDaddy
– New Perks experiences

Functionality:
– Randomize – roll the dice on your night with a random selection from our editors
– Retrace your steps by creating a list of your ‘Favorite’ UrbanDaddy places
– Share the love by inviting your friends to The Next Move
– Navigation dock
– Universal search

To celebrate its 2.0 launch, Urban Daddy released some interesting stats from the past two years of data since the app’s initial launch in 2009. According to UD, 150,000 users have sought suggestions on where to entertain their mistress. Perhaps unsurprising, Saturday night is consistently the most popular night of the week to hit the town followed by Friday around the country. And while most city dwellers seek dinner recommendations, the #1 request from New York City is for ‘drinks with friends,’ while the nation’s capital just wants to hit the dance floor, with the number one Next Move from D.C. being for ‘dancing’ recommendations.
