Nokia begins rolling out Nokia Belle updates to handsets

Nokia has announced it has officially started rolling out updates for its Symbian-powered handsets, delivering the new Nokia Belle update to bring an fresh new look, added features and improved performance.

The update will roll out to the Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia E6, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia C7 today, with the Nokia 500 expected to see the Nokia Belle within the next few weeks.

Nokia announced in December last year that the update would be available in February 2012, adding to the Belle-powered Nokia 700, 701 and 603 smartphones that launched earlier in the year. The company also said that the Nokia N8, Nokia C7 and Nokia C601 were in the process of being shipped from its factories to retailers with Nokia Belle.

To update to Nokia Belle, you will need to connect your phone to a PC to update. This requires users to have the latest version of Nokia Suite and then to simply trigger the update by connecting the device via a USB cable.

Nokia Belle will be available in most markets today, including India, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Poland, UK, Germany, Italy, Vietnam and Indonesia. To check the availability of Nokia Belle in your country, the Finnish mobile maker asks users to check its Nokia Belle pages.
