Whilst the Nokia 710 flirted with the FCC back in October, suggesting that the device would head to T-Mobile USA’s networks, a new filing detailing the Windows Phone handset on the commission’s website all but confirms what will be launched at the operator’s December 14 media event.
WPCentral came upon the filing, which is is littered with references to its October submission but has only recently become indexed by the FCC. This suggests that either Nokia wanted to build buzz around the launch or mistakenly saved its submission with the option to make it private unchecked.
The device isn’t specifically named but if you check out the rendering below, you will recognise the Nokia 710 from our first hands-on back at Nokia World in October. That fact it has T-Mobile branding all over it is an added bonus.
T-Mobile might not be bringing the new Nokia 800 to market but it will potentially offer its more cost-effective counterpart come December 14, making it the first carrier to deliver a Nokia Windows Phone smartphone in the U.S.
We will of course be bringing you news from the launch event next week, stay tuned.
