Dish Network today confirmed that DishWorld, its international TV streaming service, will rebrand under the Sling TV name, allowing current customers to access the core Sling TV offering from the same app.
With its new name as “Sling International,” customers can access almost 200 channels across 18 languages, including Spanish, Arabic, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Punjabi and Vietnamese. Plans start at $15 a month, with an option to add US networks from the core Sling TV package (conversely, regular Sling users can add the International package as well).
Existing DishWorld customers today will be prompted to log in to upgrade to Sling International, and receive the option to add on any extra Sling TV packs, such as “News & Info Extra” (Bloomberg Television, Cooking Channel, DIY Network, HLN) and “Sports Extra” (ESPNews, ESPNU, ESPN Goal Lines, Universal Sports and more). Each extra pack costs $5 a month in addition to the base package fee.
