How to Brush Your Teeth (because you’ve probably been doing it wrong for years)

How to Brush Your Teeth (because you’ve probably been doing it wrong for years)

Yes, I admit, this is a rather random topic for The Next Web but this is TNW Lifehacks and this is a lifehack so listen carefully. :)

I made my first visit to the dentist in far too long last week during which I went through the rather embarrassing process of being taught how to brush my teeth. What’s more embarrassing is that I was bluntly told that I’ve ‘doing it wrong’ for the last 29 years.

Like many of you I’m sure, for as long as I can remember, I’ve been brushing my teeth by simply brushing back and forth sideways – apparently very wrong. The goal is to brush plaque off your teeth and by brushing sideways all your doing is essentially rubbing the crap sideways across your teeth.

Anyway, I’m not a dentist, why are you listening to a tech blogger? Have a listen to Colgate but do share your experiences in the comments, would love to be comforted in the knowledge that there are more of you out there who have also been doing it wrong.
