I love entertaining. I love having friends over. But there’s something I can’t stand about it. Someone will inevitably ask for the Wi-Fi password, and I’ll have to dig out a slip of paper containing a cryptic list of letters and numbers. Honestly, I’d rather not bother.
With that in mind, thank god for Wiffy.
Wiffy is a dead simple Alexa skill. It does one thing, tell guests the Wi-Fi code. Its makers, New York start-up BetaWorks, envision it as a graceful way to avoid that awkward conversation. It also thinks it’s “perfect for shared homes, co-working spaces, AirBNBs.” Once enabled, just tell Alexa to “ask Wiffy what is the wifi password?”
