Oovoo: group video chat with a core audience aged 12-17 years old. Last month it launched a mobile app, now it’s opening an API for developers to build group video chat features into their own apps.
TuneMob: a social audio app for iOS that allows you to stream audio to multiple devices at once, for example a group of friends’ mobile phones. Currently free, TuneMob is planning to launch a premium offering support for third-party streaming services.
Senseta: Winners of our Latin America Startup Rally in August (where it was also a Wildcard), Senseta is based in both Silicon Valley and Bogota, Colombia. The company takes data and provides governments and businesses with information and data to help produce solutions to solve the world’s challenges.
Magisto: Previously covered by The Next Web, Magisto automatically creates polished, edited video clips from footage shot by users, picking the most interesting sections of the action to include.
AppMachine: A modular app-building platform for iOS and Android. It a real-time preview mode so you can see how your app will look and feel when it’s compiled.
Adyen sees a jump in mobile payments of 27% in four months
Also worth a mention is news today from payments technology company Adyen, supporters of our Mobile Startup Rally. The company has reports a leap of 27% in the volume of mobile transactions it has handled in the past four months over the previous four-month period. In all, mobile transactions now account for 17.5% of all worldwide transactions on the platform, up from 13.8%.
