Mobile Safari is the fastest growing browser, and other stats from the Great Browser Wars

By now you must be aware of the rising importance of browser technology. If that sounds platitudinous, hear me out. Browsers have been important for coming on two decades. However, their profile is only continuing to rise as applications migrate to the cloud. Thus, browsers are becoming increasingly critical as desktop apps fade.

And that means that the war for controlling browser market share is more vicious today than it was yesterday, and less so than it will be tomorrow.

A company called Monetate ran data on all the sites in its network, and tracked aggregate browser market share. Of course, they blended it into an infographic, which means that as it is Friday, and you have an open beer, this is the perfect moment to imbibe the information.
