
The Indian government made a misguided decision earlier this month to block 857 sites that featured adult content. It later backpedaled, saying that the ban is only temporary.
A final call will be taken today, when the Supreme Court will resume hearing a petition demanding a ban on pornographic sites.
But before that, the country’s government and courts would do well to hear out John Oliver on the topic, who took to his weekly news summary show to highlight the ridiculousness of the ongoing debate between India’s ruling party and citizens who are against the move.
