Google updates Authenticator, adding support for Android Wear smartwatches

Google updates Authenticator, adding support for Android Wear smartwatches

Google’s making the process of using two-step authentication a little easier with its latest update for Authenticator on Android.

Users can now generate codes for logging in securely on their Android Wear smartwatches.

The latest update also sees the app getting a Material Design-based visual overhaul.

Additionally, Google is giving developers the chance to try another new secure login feature – NFC Security Keys. Hopefully that means all we’ll have to do in the future is hold our devices near one another to log in.
