Google can now answer your questions before you finish asking them

Google’s instant search suggestions are about to get a better. An update, which is rolling out now, shows answers to short questions directly in the autocomplete options as you type them.

A query like “when did Hawaii become a state?” shows the answer in the suggestions dropdown. The change only appears to work with queries that have short answers, mainly related to dates.

It’s a subtle tweak but it save you from having to wait for the results page to load – perfect for your next pub quiz.

The change appears to be rolling out slowly, with some people seeing it in the Chrome and Google apps for both iOS and Android.
