Chrome for Android gets Undo Tab Close, fullscreen video with subtitles, and Chromecast video support

Chrome for Android gets Undo Tab Close, fullscreen video with subtitles, and Chromecast video support

To line up with the Chrome 35 desktop release, Google today also updated Chrome for Android with a bevy of new features. You can download the new version now directly from Google Play.

Here’s the full Chrome 35 for Android changelog:

  • Undo Tab Close.
  • Fullscreen video with subtitles and HTML5 controls.
  • Support for some multi-window devices.
  • Support for casting some videos with Chromecast.
  • Other bug fixes.

Being able to undo the action of closing a tab will be useful to all users, as well fullscreen video improvements. Yet it’s the Web video support for the Chromecast that will lead to the most excitement: Google won’t say exactly which clips will work, so you’ll have to test to see yourself which content you can send from your Android device to your TV.
