Announcing the 2015 European Tech5: Identifying Europe’s fastest-growing tech companies

It’s time once again for a look at who were the fastest growing European tech startups of the last few years!

Around this time last year we launched the inaugural iteration of Tech5. Together with our partner Adyen (a global payments technology provider) we cooked up the European Tech5 initiative with the aim of identifying the fastest-growing tech companies from the most vibrant European startup hubs.

Ever been to a tech festival?

TNW Conference won best European Event 2016 for our festival vibe. See what's in store for 2017.

This year’s competition will be slightly different from last year’s. Whereas last year we were still looking to identify vibrant startup communities in Europe, this year we have a set list of 6 countries that are eligible to participate: France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

The Breakdown

As of today, any high-growth tech startup that is headquartered in one of the above countries and meets our other criteria can enter into the starting phase of the competition.

Companies in each country will be ranked based on growth rates in revenue and usage. We will identify the fastest-growing company in each country, who will then be invited to a pitch-event, hosted by Adyen in their country, that will be attended by local press and one of our own TNW editors.

The winner from each Tech5 country will be invited to Amsterdam for TNW Conference Europe (April 23 – 24), where they will be part of a panel to share their best business practices, lessons learned and entrepreneurial experiences in front of 3,500 influencers, investors, journalists, and marketers.

The Tech5 lists from each country will be published here on TNW and be made available to other media outlets as well. Note that TNW will destroy all non-public data gathered during the process of evaluating the Tech5, after the winners have been determined.

How do you get involved?

If you are a fast-growing startup, and valuable coverage, connections and a panel spot at TNW Conference Europe sounds good to you: Please join Tech5 by filling in this form on the Tech5 homepage.

If you want to keep track of the results, leave your email or come meet up with the fastest growing companies in Europe and 3,500 peers in Amsterdam (be quick though).
