Ubertesters, a platform for testing mobile apps across a range of different operating systems, has added support for a new bug-tracking tool that sits alongside the Jira and Mantis bug reporting systems.

Announced today, the new feature means that developers shouldn’t need to use multiple platforms to test their apps, thereby simplifying the process and hypothetically speeding it all up.

The bug tracking system (in combination with the existing reporting options) allows users to not only find and report any development issues, but also set priority and severity levels, assign developers to apply a fix, and then re-assign the issue back to another tester.

Alongside the bug reporting tool, Ubertesters also today introduced a bare-bones option of its service for teams that don’t need the crash and bug reporting features.

This ‘Lite’ version doesn’t require devs to integrate the Ubertesters SDK, thereby allowing teams to effectively use it as a distribution platform once a build is uploaded.
