SoundCloud’s new feature curates fire playlists with freshly uploaded tracks

Music network SoundCloud has a smart new feature called The Upload, which serves up recently uploaded tracks from across its platform for logged-in users.

To do so, it looks at your listening history and likes to figure out what you’ll enjoy, and then curates a playlist from tracks uploaded to SoundCloud over the past few days.

It’s a clever little update that does a good job of surfacing music you might like. I took it for a spin this morning and came across some decent tracks, barring an hour-and-a-half long podcast episode that I didn’t really care for. SoundCloud says that its playlists will get better the more you listen to and like tracks on its platform to let the service know what you’re into.

You can try it for yourself by finding The Upload in SoundCloud’s Discover section on the web and mobile apps (tap the magnifying glass icon) on Android and iOS.
