Hulu inks deal to secure fourth major TV network

Hulu inks deal to secure fourth major TV network

While Netflix is cornering the market on original online content, Hulu is busy allying with existing networks. The streaming service announced today that it had inked a deal with NBCUniversal. Hulu will now air every show owned by NBC and Telemundo — a lot of shows, basically.

If you need a scorecard, Hulu’s forthcoming Live TV service will be a new source for watching:

  • Saturday Night Live
  • Sunday Night Football
  • Keeping Up With The Kardashians
  • Mr. Robot
  • The Voice
  • Blindspot
  • The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
  • Top Chef
  • Real Housewives of etc.
  • This is Us
  • The Olympics
  • Everything on Telemundo (I don’t speak Spanish, so I don’t know what’s popular, sorry)

This is the fourth major network Hulu has inked a deal with; after CBS, Fox, and Disney-ABC. According to TechCrunch, the Hulu app will feature an updated interface which will send you push notifications before your shows go live so you can record them.
