Google Calendar is finally available for the iPad

I can’t believe that Google Calendar wasn’t available for iPads until now, but that’s the way it is (I’m an Android guy, so please pardon my ignorance). Anyhoo, the company has just launched a new version of its calendar app, complete with optimization for tablet-sized screens.

That’s about it, really. You’ll get some of the nifty features Google has added to Calendar recently, including the ability to add and track goals like weight loss, suggestions to help you create events faster and smart scheduling features to help you find an empty conference room. If you’ve got an iPad, this is a no-brainer.

A Today View widget, which will allow you to see your upcoming events on the lock screen and in the notification center is also in the works.

Grab the free app from the App Store.
