Report: Pandora will finally let you play whatever songs you want

Report: Pandora will finally let you play whatever songs you want

There was a time when Pandora was the most popular music story around, but as Spotify and other services that let you play whatever music you wanted came to prominence, its growth has stagnated.

Now it’s looking to fight back. A report from the WSJ indicates Pandora is working with record companies to launch a $10 subscription that offers all the on-demand music listening yout want – something we’ve been waiting for since its purchase of Rdio.

Meanwhile, the $5 a month Pandora One plan will become a little more powerful, including letting you skip more songs.

I’ve used Pandora for longer than any service, and though I generally prefer Google Play Music for everyday music listening – because, you know, I can pick my own music – I still prefer Pandora’s music recommendations to anyone elses.

The new service wil reportedly arrive next month – we’ve been waiting long enough.
