In version 45, the browser’s Hello video and voice chat feature is now even more useful. All your actions on a shared tab are visible to your contact in real-time, so they can follow along as you research a topic, shop for new threads or scour Reddit for interesting GIFs.
As before, you don’t need to sign up or log in to use Hello — simply click the chat bubble icon next to the address bar, choose ‘Start a conversation’ and share the generated link with your contact. They also don’t need to use Firefox to start chatting with you — Chrome and Opera work just as well.
Mozilla has also removed its Tab Groups feature, which allowed users to organize related tabs into bundles and switch between them. This might bum out some fans, but don’t worry: your existing Tab Groups have been saved into a bookmarks folder and you can bring back similar functionality by downloading add-ons like this one.
You can get the latest version by updating Firefox from its About screen in the Help section or by downloading it from the browser’s site.
