Google has launched its Android for Work App to allow business users to securely access their contacts, email, calendar and files in a managed IT environment, on devices running Android 4.0 or newer.
Launched in February, Google’s Android for Work program allows companies’ IT administration to enable and manage access to work-related data and approved apps on users’ personal Android devices. It also keeps users’ personal and business data separate, and encrypts the latter for increased security.

The feature is already baked in on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Users can run secure, IT-admin-managed versions of Google’s Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Camera, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Chrome, as well as third-party apps. Android for Work also supports Exchange and Notes.
