DoubleTwist now wirelessly sends media from Android devices to XBox 360 and PS3

DoubleTwist now wirelessly sends media from Android devices to XBox 360 and PS3

As we’ve previously reported, DoubleTwist is an elegant solution for synchronizing media, bringing the ease of use of iTunes to non-Apple devices.

The company’s recently released AirSync app brought easy wireless media synchronisation to Android devices. Now a new upgrade to the app brings with it something rather tasty – wireless sharing of media from Android devices to Playstation 3 and XBox 360.

Once set up, the AirTwist feature means your Android device will show up as a media drive on your console, letting you view images and video, and listen to audio, from your phone directly on your TV.

The feature works using the DLNA standard and should work with any compliant device, although Sony and Microsoft’s consoles are the only officially supported devices at launch. AirTwist is available now via an update to the AirSync app.
