Search your Android with gestures

Search your Android with gestures

Google has moved another labs project into full rollout. This time it is gesture searching on the Android. The app, available on labs or found in the market is another building block for better searching on the Android.

The gesture app allows you to search the ‘phone by writing the first letter of what you are searching for. The search will cover anything on the ‘phone from bookmarks to contacts and music tracks. So in this case, if I wish to search for Henry Mancini, I scribble H and the app will bring up everything beginning with H. If my handwriting is bad, and it looks like an A, another link at the bottom will give me all the options for A.

This nifty little app offers another way to search your ‘phone which could be quicker than normal search and quieter than voice search.
