Google Tasks Goes Full Screen

google_tasks_thumbGoogle has finally made the bold move and taken steps to making Google Tasks an application in its own right.

Tasks has until now played a rather small role in Gmail, iGoogle and Google Calendar, today that changes, although perhaps not as dramtically as we’d like.

Rather than giving Tasks its own URL at, Google has instead introduced a full-screen version of the current Tasks iGoogle gadget. Meaning you’ll need to visit iGoogle every time you want to view Tasks in full screen. Silly.

Visiting on your mobile however will take you to the appropriate version of Google Tasks.

Writing this I must admit to feeling a slight bit of bewilderment as to why I’m actually writing about it. Are you wondering why you’re reading it? Yeah, thought so.
