The whole tech space is abuzz with anticipation over what Apple will announce at its event later today, which is widely thought to be the launch of the next generation of iPad and iPad Mini.
Here’s the good news: Apple will be livestreaming its event later today on to Apple TV and Safari users.
There is now an events channel on Apple TV, which is informing users that they can watch the “special event” starting at 10AM PST, as Engadget notes.
However, contrary to rumors earlier in the day, it will also be available to livestream using the Safari browser, providing QuickTime is installed. Specific requirements are as follows, Apple notes:
“Live Streaming video requires Safari 4 or later on OS X v10.6 or later; Safari on iOS 4.2 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later.”
