Anthropic is paying the firm that will evaluate it, and says in the same announcement that this is not how it should work.
The evaluator is Accenture, already the largest deployment of Claude Code Anthropic has. There are still no standards for what embedded evaluators may see, or what they must report.

California will fine creators $5,000 a post for hidden political ads
California has required paid political posts to carry a disclosure since 2023, but could not punish anyone who skipped it. Gavin Newsom signed AB 1130 on Saturday, and the fine is now $5,000 a post. The bill followed reporting on money quietly reaching influencers.
