Hello China: The Next Web partners with Tencent to bring our stories to a whole new audience

One of the best things about working at The Next Web is being able to share news and opinion about technology to an ever-growing audience. However, if we only focus on the English-speaking world we’re limiting our potential reach. We’ve always considered the whole world as our potential audience and we believe this is something that distinguishes us from our competition.

That’s why we’re happy to announce today that we’ve signed a deal with Chinese tech and media giant Tencent that will see our articles translated and published on its massively popular QQ.com portal.

As more of the world becomes connected to the internet, language can be a real barrier to the spreading of information, and it’s easy to get locked into our own language’s online ‘bubble’. Partnerships like this can help us all become more connected, and we look forward to expanding to other languages and countries in the future.

For now though, hello China!

Chinese readers can find our translated articles in a dedicated TNW section on QQ’s tech site.
