Your outfit changes every day, so why not your iPhone case?
This is the idea that Casetagram, which turns your popular Instagram photos into an iPhone case, is seeking to promote as it steps into the subscription-based business.
Casetagram Monthly, which soft launched just yesterday for customers in the US and Canada, lets subscribers get a token every 30 days via email to redeem an interchangeable backplate that is compatible with its Bezel Case, a three-part case that protects the screen from directly contacting surfaces.
You can choose to change the style of your iPhone case by either customizing a backplate with your Instagram photos, or selecting from thousands of designs via Castegram’s Artist Collections. The backplate is then delivered to you via free shipping.
Casetagram Monthly is currently available for iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s only, and starts at $9.95 a month for a one-year plan. For comparison, an individual backplate on Casetagram already costs $19.95.
However, the subscription service isn’t available for Casetagram’s classic snap-on case.
Wesley Ng, the CEO and co-founder of Castegram, says he wants to be the the Shoedazzle for premium iPhone cases — and with a ton of celebrities including Snoop Dogg Lion and Jamie Oliver praising Casetagram so far, it probably has a shot at standing out with its personalized ‘fashion-for-iPhone’ options.
