Amazon adds 10,500 Post Office parcel pick-up points across the UK

Amazon adds 10,500 Post Office parcel pick-up points across the UK

It’s probably no surprise that this move comes just ahead of Christmas, but Amazon has today announced an extension of its local ‘PickUp’ locations to thousands of Post Office branches dotted around the UK.

In total, the 10,500 new branches takes the total number of local pick-up points in the UK to more than 16,000. The new options are being offered thanks to integration of Royal Mail’s Click and Collect service, and all customers need to do is select their preferred collection location at checkout.

Deliveries to any Post Office included in the scheme are free for Prime members (priced at £79 per year), but non-members will be charged First Class shipping rates.
