@MattNavarra JUST got one from a Tweet you sent me yesterday. — Kevin Shively (@KevinSaysThings) February 13, 2015
The bug appears to affect users on desktop clients, mobile apps and Twitter.com. We’re even seeing emails come for delayed notifications.
The glitch started earlier this week, but old notifications seem to be pouring in more noticeably within the past few hours.
In addition to delayed notifications, some users are also receiving duplicate updates for favorites.
Twitter’s double favorite glitch is a real tease.

We’ve reached out to Twitter for clarification and will update if we hear back. Are you experiencing similar glitches? If so, um, happy Friday the 13th?
Update: Twitter has confirmed the bug and is working to resolve the issue.
Some users may be receiving delayed or duplicate notifications. We’re aware of the issue and are working on a fix.
