YouTube is searching for its next group of stars, 360 to be precise, as part of its NextUp initiative.
YouTube NextUp aims to help budding vloggers up their game by offering exposure, mentorship and financial backing.
Since its launch in 2011, NextUp has helped launch the careers of over 250 YouTubers from 15 countries, according to the company. Some previous winners include beauty and lifestyle blogger Ingrid Nilsen, and Marcus Butler, who are both now full-time YouTube creators with millions of subscribers.
The streaming service says it’s after “passionate and motivated” creators in all areas.
The lucky winners will get to enjoy a week-long stay at the YouTube creator camp in London where they will be coached in everything from camera and lighting to audience growth and advertising.
They will also receive a £1,750 voucher to buy equipment and ongoing mentorship from other graduates of the program.
The applications are open now for aspiring YouTubers in the US and UK and the company says further competitions will go live in Japan, Brazil, France, Germany, Canada and India in the future.
