If you’re one of the people who haven’t deleted Pokémon Go yet, you’ll be happy to know the world’s favorite Pokémon is now ready to be caught — but there’s a twist.
As fans of the original series, or anyone who’s seen a few episodes of it, the curious monster named Ditto can change into whatever he likes. To quote the Pokédex:
This Pokémon has the ability to reconstitute its entire cellular structure to transform into whatever it sees.
Because of its transformational abilities, Ditto might pop up in the game as any Pokémon, but most have reported it as being disguised as the extremely common Pidgey or Rattata.
But when you’ve managed to catch it, this might happen:

So the next time you’re hesitant to throw a Pokéball at one of the more boring creatures you come across, think again.
For me, the addition of one pink Pokémon won’t be enough to get me back into the game — I’ll be watching the original episode with Ditto on Netflix instead.
