King of the Hill intro gets the pixel art treatment, and it’s glorious

If you’re old enough to identify with Hank Hill and his buddies from the excellent animated Fox sitcom King of the Hill, you’re going to get a kick out of this beautiful pixel art-style rework of the intro clip by Brazil-based designer Mauri Helme, complete with a chiptune remix of the theme song.

Helme’s creation is reminiscent of retro 8-bit and 16-bit video games, and features an art style that requires working on imagery one pixel at a time. If you like what you see, follow him on YouTube and Twitter for more exceptional pixel art, like this piece depicting Eleven from Netflix’s Stranger Things, as well as a time-lapse showing how he painstakingly creates his masterpieces.
