Pandora has announced plans to make it easier for unsigned and independent artists to submit music to the Internet radio streaming service.

The new open music submission process follows a three-step online process allowing artists to submit songs for consideration – they basically just complete their contact details and provide links to their tracks. Prior to this, Pandora required users to have a CD available for sale on amazon, with a UPC (barcode).

Available in the US, Australia and New Zealand only, Pandora is a music-streaming subscription service available on mobile and the Web. The company claims around 80 million people tune in to Pandora each month.
