Netflix launches ‘My List’ feature to help users quickly save and find what they want to watch next

To help users quickly find the next TV show and movie they want to watch, Netflix is rolling out a new feature called ‘My List’ for its cross-platform streaming service over the next two weeks.

The idea is that users select the particular series, movies or individual episodes that they want to watch sometime in the future. These are then added to a dedicated ‘My List’ row in the Netflix home screen; the platform then uses a series of algorithms to rank and display them more prominently depending on what the viewer wants to watch first.

“In our tests, most members really appreciated this automated sorting and it was much more useful than the manual sorting capability of the Instant Queue,” Netflix said in a blog post. Titles in the ‘My List’ section will also include special tags to show when a new season is available, as well as a notification when they’re about to disappear from Netflix.
