Amazon has launched an updated Kindle app for iOS, Kindle Cloud Reader, and Android, which means it now has better support for children’s books, comics, and graphic novels.
With the new app, children’s books that rely on visuals will now come to life with impressive image displays, fixed layouts, and Kindle Text Pop-Up for supported titles to magnify text for any screen size.
Comics and graphic novels, on the other hand, are presented in Kindle Panel View for supported titles, which showcases artwork panel-by-panel, which reads as the author intended and better mimics its physical-format counterpart. More than one thousand full-color children’s and comic book titles are now available across Amazon’s various platforms.
In a final piece of update news, Kindle for iOS has reeled in library search by title and author, and iPad users will receive a much cleaner reading experience with smaller margins to help focus on the words. Kindle for Android Tablets and Cloud Reader now includes a two-page view for widescreen displays.
