Last month, we reported that Apple was casting its own reality show ‘Planet of the Apps‘ to beef up its original content offerings, a move it seems to be serious about after announcing an upcoming version of Late Late Show host James Corden’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’ last month.
The show will feature up-and-coming developers as they go from inspiration, to creation, to shopping their apps to venture capitalists for funding, and then deal with problems like scale, distribution and marketing. In short, it sounds like a fairly thorough way to experience life in The Valley without actually having to create a business yourself.
All the while, the developers will offer “hands-on guidance from some of the most influential experts in the tech community.”
Today, we know who those mentors are — actress and Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow, musician and Intel’s Director of Creative Innovation Will.iam, and VaynerMedia (and speaker at TNW’s ‘Momentum‘ conference) Gary Vaynerchuk.
The show is still looking for developers and entrepreneurs to appear on the show. If you’re interested, get your application in before the August 26 deadline.
